Mercantile Bank Limited. A progressive private commercial Bank in Bangladesh with a vision to be a loading financial institution in the country. intends to recruit business driven, marketing focused and target oriented qualified individual for proposed Islamic Banking Branch at Dilkusha C/A. Dhaka in the following positions:


Name of Position: Head of Islamic Banking Branch


a)    Job Grade: VP


b)    Major Job Responsibilities: 

Responsible for opening Islamic Banking Branch within deadline, maintaining quality customer services, achieving asset-liability targets and leading the team.


c)    Other Job Responsibilities:


•    Able to plan & formulate strategies to achieve given business targets of the Branch.
•    Able to grow and maintain good public relations with customers and community.
•    Capable of marketing the Islamic Deposits and Investment business of Corporate Customers.
•    Ensure superior level of customer service through proper guidance and stall motivation.
•    Ensure sound governance. MIL & Regulatory Compliance of the Branch.
•    Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the Management of the Bank


d). Required Educational/ Professional Exposure:


•    Post Graduation in any business discipline from any recognized educational Institution.


•    Minimum 12 years waking experience in Islamic Banking including minimum 3 years of experience as Head of Islamic Banking in any Corporate Branch.


e. Job Nature: Permanent position.

f. Age limit: Not Over 45 years as on 31.01.2022.


Name of Position: Manager Operation! Deputy Head of Branch.


a.    Job grade: AVP


b.    Job Responsibilities:


•    Export in marketing of Islamic Banking Deposits and Investment business
•    To assist Head of Branch to achieve profit target and to maintain superior customer services.
•    Responsible for monitoring day-to-day business. operations and compliances.
•    Able to build positive relationships with various stakeholder regulators.
•    Able to work under pressure and have ability 8 mindset to carry out assignments to meet the targets.


c.    Required Educational and Professional Exposure;


•    Post-Graduation in any business discipline from any recognized educational institution.


•    Minimum 10 years working experience in Islamic Banking including minimum 3 years of expenence as Manager Operations or Deputy Head of Branch in any Islamic Banking Corporate Branch


d.    Job Nature: Permanent position.


e.    Age limit: Not Over 40 years as on 31.01.2022


Name of Position: Investment In-Charge.


a.    Job Grade: FAVP


b.    Job Responsibilities:


•    Capable of marketing the Investment business.
•    Evaluate potential customers' creditworthiness.
•    To assist Head of Branch to achieve profit target and to maintain customer services.
•    Responsible for monitoring Investment business. its operations and compliances.
•    Lead the Investment Team to cater all types of Investment services.


c.    Required Educational! Professional Exposure:


•    Post-Graduation in any business discipline from any recognized educational institution.
•    Minimum 08-10 years working expenence in Islamic Banking inducing minimum 3 years of experience as Investment In-Charge in any Islamic Banking Corporate Branch.


d.    Job Nature: Permanent position.


Name of Position: Foreign Trade In-Charge.


a.    Job Grade: FAVP


b.    Job Responsibilities:


•    Capable of marketing the Foreign Trade business.
•    Evaluate potential customers' creditworthiness.
•    Export in Foreign Trade related operations & regulatory guidelines.
•    To assist Head of Branch to achieve profit target and to maintain customer services.
•    Lead the Foreign Trade Team to cater all typos of Foreign Trade services,


c.    Required Professional Exposure:


•    Post Graduation in any business discipline horn any recognized educational institution.


•    Minimum 08-10 years working experience in Islamic Banking including minimum 3 years of experience as Foreign Trade In-Charge in any Islamic Banking Authorized Dealer Corporate Branch.


d.    Job Nature: Permanent position.


 Name of Position: General Banking In-Charge


a.    Job Grade: SEO/PO


b.    Job Responsibilities:


•    Capable of marketing the Islamic Banking Deposit products.
•    Capable of providing quality customer services.
•    Ensuring compliance of Regulatory requirements and operational guidelines of the Bank in day-to-day operations.•    Assists Head of Branch to achieve profit target and to maintain customer services
•    Lead the General Banking Team to cater all types of General Banking services.


c.    Required Educational/ Professional Exposure:


•    Post-Graduation in any discipline from any recognized educational institution.
•    Minimum 08 years working experience in Islamic Banking including minimum 3 years of experience as General Banking In-Charge in any Islamic Banking Corporate Branch.


d.    Job Nature: Permanent position.


Name of Position: Branch Officials (Investment, Foreign Trade 8. General Banking Officials)


a.    Jab Grade: Officer/EC


b.    Job Responsibilities:


•    Capable of marketing the Islamic Banking Products Business.
•    Capable of providing quality customer services.
•    Ensuring compliance of Regulatory requirements and operational guidelines of the Bank in day-to-day operations.


c.     Required Educational/ Professional Exposure:


•    Post Graduation in any business discipline from any recognized educational institution


•    Minimum 5 years waking experience in Islamic Banking including minimum 2 years of experience in relevant desk in any Islamic Banking Branch.


d.    Job Nature: Permanent position.

 

Name of Position: Muraquib [For Islamic Banking Division in Head Office]


a.    Job Grade: FAVP


b.    b Job Responsibilities:


•    To ensure implementation of Islamic Banking Guidelines. Instructions, Circulars issues by Central Bank. Regulatory Authorities and by the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank.
•    To conduct research on Shariah issues/ new products development (Deposit & Investment' and provide necessary assistance to the Committee on Shariah principle compliance.


c.     Required Educational! Professional Exposure:


•    Masters In Islamic Studies/Arabic/ kamil and Legal studios from UGC approved any recognized educational institution. However, other educational qualifications may be considered for highly experienced candidates.
•    Must have sound knowledge in the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh and Islam c economic, finance.


•    Minimum 07.10 years working experience In Islamic Banking including minimum 2 years of experience as Muraquib in any Islamic Bank.
•    Must have sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office in both Bengali & English. Must have strongly communication skill in Bengali. Arabic & English.
d.     Job Nature: Permanent position.
 

Special covenants for the above mentioned positions:


1.    Candidates who have started their career as Management Trainee Officer/Probationary Officer in private commercial Islamic banks will be given preference in the above mentioned positions.
2.    Non Islamic Banking officials and officials of outside Dhaka are discouraged to apply for above mentioned positions.
3.    The candidates who are working in any Islamic Banking Corporate Branch in Motijhee/Dilkusha Commercial Area will be given preference
4.    The candidates having 3rd Class/Division/ equivalent CGPA in any level of education need not to apply for any of above mentioned positions.
5.    Attractive remuneration package van be offered to the deserving candidates. Salary and designation mil depend on the experience and background of the selected candidates.
