1. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 in both SSC / Equivalent and HSC / Equivalent examinations in the conventional system in either the first division in one and the minimum second division in the other or the 4th subject in each of the two examinations in the grading system.
2. Candidates who have passed from the departments of the Faculty of Social Sciences should have a minimum of 55% marks in one and minimum 50% marks in the other in the traditional system of undergraduate (honors) / equivalent and postgraduate examinations or in the grading system CGPA 4 scale, both exams must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25 in one and a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in the other.
Or, Candidates who have passed from the Departments of Law / Science / Business Studies / Biology and Geology / Agriculture / Engineering should have a minimum of 55% marks in both the traditional examinations of undergraduate (honors) / equivalent and postgraduate examinations or in both grades in CGPA 4 scale in grading system must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25.
Or, in the traditional method of MBBS / BDS examination, candidates who have passed before 2015 should have minimum 50% marks and candidates who have passed after 2015 should have minimum 60% marks. Candidates who have passed the DVM examination should have a minimum CGPA of 80% in the traditional method or a minimum CGPA of 3.50 in the CGPA 4 scale in the grading system.
3. Candidates who do not meet the conditions of educational qualification of sub-sections (1) and (2) of the above section can apply for admission in M.Phil, program, if their (a) public university / private university Approved by Grants Commission) / 3 years teaching experience in Government College or (b) 3 years teaching experience in honors class in honors level private degree colleges or (c) 3 years research work experience in a recognized research institute as well as in case of 6 (c) minimum 2 researches in a recognized journal Articles are published. If at any stage of education life 2nd class / division / CGPA is less than 3.00 then admission will be considered ineligible. Candidates who are allowed to get admission in M.Phil, Program under this sub-section are Ph.D. Cannot move to program.
